A career in the arts, as multi-disciplinary practitioner and entrepreneur, working in the following media: photography, painting, filmmaking, and publishing. The guiding element is a constant state of enthusiasm and a search for meaning. Please note that although this is shown in terms of chosen media, the chronology only coheres as the Bio is viewed through all my various enterprises.

ABSOLUT Vodka: Painting Commission 1990: “Absolut Environment”
Absolut’s Holiday ad campaign based on my Polar Bears. Three large canvases printed as a four-page insert for Interview and L.A. magazines. Commission resides in the permanent collection of ABSOLUT.

WINNER; MURAL COMPETITION, CAMBRIDGE, MA,
Painted 40 ft mural of Engine Company 5, the men and vintage truck on one of the town’s fire stations. It was likened to Rembrandt’s Black Watch and, after a refurbishing in 2002, is still a source of pride to the community.

THE BEARD’S FUND, New York Director, Arts Foundation
Designed to foster experimentation in the arts for this fund of Sandra Payson Whitney. Charged with and scouting and analyzing new directions and creators. Projects funded, most notably The Times Square Show, and Bill T. Jones, received acclaim from The New York Times, Art in America, Artforum.
The PANDELEXIUM Project – a speculative online game project/community
Conceived, designed and developed this entire game site focused on the English language. Included a proposed interactive TV series, Pandelexivision.

BEHIND THE SCENES DOCUMENTARIES – Director, Cinematographer, Editor
Created short docs based on genre/horror films for Lionsgate “Basic Demonology” for Blackwater Valley Exorcism (2006). “Advanced Gardening Techniques with Mr. Millbrook” for Brutal (2006).
REALITYVILLE (2005) Producer
Conceived and developed the TV series concept REALITYVILLE. Co-wrote, filmed and edited a documentary designed to pitch the project.

Garnered major sponsors (Apple and Clifbar) for REVIVAL, the annual music and environmental festival of Pete Seeger’s environmental group Clearwater. Designed and wrote a sponsorship package and sixteen-page membership brochure.
